Privacy Policy

Effective from Last revised

PatchSo has no sign-up, no login and no comments. The only personal information this site receives directly from you is the email address you use when you send us a message. What follows explains how we handle that one item, and the records your browser leaves behind automatically when you visit.

Contents of this document

General

PatchSo 운영자 (the "Operator") publishes this Privacy Policy in accordance with Article 30 of the Personal Information Protection Act of the Republic of Korea, so that visitors can see how their information is handled and raise concerns quickly. It applies to every page of PatchSo and takes effect on 2026-08-20.

This site has no membership, login, comment or bulletin board features. As a result, it collects no personal information directly from visitors, with a single exception: when you choose to send us a message. That fact is the premise of every clause below.

The Korean version of this policy is the authoritative text. This English version is provided for convenience. If the two versions differ in meaning, the Korean version prevails.

1. Categories of personal information processed

This site handles three categories of information and no others. We never collect unique identifiers such as your name, phone number, address or resident registration number, nor sensitive information such as beliefs or health data, nor payment details.

Categories of personal information processed, by source and method of collection

  • Category
    1. Generated automatically on visit
    Items
IP address, browser and device information, date and time of visit, pages viewed, referrer, cookies and similar identifiers
    How it is collected
Generated automatically as part of serving the web request
  • Category
    2. Collected automatically for analytics and advertising
    Items
Identifiers used to measure visits. Once ads are served, advertising cookies and advertising identifiers are added here
    How it is collected
Collected directly in your browser by the relevant provider
  • Category
    3. Only when you send it yourself
    Items
Your email address and whatever you write in the body of your message
    How it is collected
Submitted voluntarily through our contact channel

Regarding category 2, we state the current position plainly. This site does not currently serve advertising, and visit measurement is limited to the cookie-free measurement feature provided by our hosting provider. Google AdSense and Google Analytics are not yet in use. When either is introduced, we will update this clause and the table in Article 4 and record the change in the addendum.

2. Purposes of processing

We use the information above only for the purposes below. If a purpose changes, we amend this policy and give notice before acting on it.

  • To operate the site and to identify and fix errors — category 1 information
  • To understand which pages are used and how much, so that we can improve them — category 2 information
  • To serve advertising and measure its performance — category 2 advertising information, once advertising begins
  • To receive and answer enquiries, correction requests, copyright takedown requests and requests to exercise data subject rights — category 3 information

We do not use personal information for any purpose not listed above. In particular we do not send marketing messages, and we do not ask for consent to send them.

3. Retention and use periods

Retention period and custodian for each category

  • Item
    Cookies and advertising identifiers
    Retention period
Governed by each provider policy and by your browser settings. The Operator does not retain them separately
    Held by
The relevant provider and your browser
  • Item
    Access logs, including IP address
    Retention period
Deleted once the hosting provider default retention period expires. The Operator does not copy these logs into its own database
    Held by
    Hosting provider
  • Item
    Visit analytics data
    Retention period
The retention period configured in the measurement tool
    Held by
    The relevant provider
  • Item
    Enquiry emails and their contents
    Retention period
Destroyed one year after we finish replying. That period exists so we can check the earlier history if you write to us again about the same matter
    Held by
    The Operator email account

Where a statute imposes a separate retention obligation, we keep the information for that period and then destroy it, and we do not use it for any purpose other than that retention.

4. Disclosure to third parties, processing on our behalf, and overseas transfer

The Operator does not sell your personal information or provide it to third parties. We do, however, rely on the following providers to run the site, and information is processed or transferred overseas in the course of that.

Processors and overseas transfers — processor, entrusted work, items transferred, destination

  • Processor
    Vercel Inc.
    Entrusted work
    Website hosting and content delivery
    Items transferred
Access logs, including IP address and browser information
    Destination, timing and method
United States and elsewhere — transmitted over the network at the moment you access the site
  • Processor
    Supabase Inc.
    Entrusted work
    Database hosting
    Items transferred
None. This database holds only site content such as the game update index, and stores no personal information about visitors
    Destination, timing and method
Republic of Korea (Seoul) — no overseas transfer
  • Processor
    Google LLC
    Entrusted work
Serving ads and measuring their performance (Google AdSense). Not yet in use — applies once ads are served
    Items transferred
    Cookies, advertising identifiers, device information
    Destination, timing and method
United States and elsewhere — sent directly from your browser at the moment an ad is served
  • Processor
    Google LLC
    Entrusted work
Visit analytics (Google Analytics). Not yet in use — applies once introduced
    Items transferred
    Cookies, access records
    Destination, timing and method
United States and elsewhere — sent directly from your browser when you view a page

If you do not wish your information to be transferred overseas, you may block cookies in your browser (Article 6) or stop using the site. Access logs, however, are a technical consequence of requesting a web page and cannot be avoided while you are using the site.

5. Advertising and cookies — disclosures required by Google

The three statements below are the disclosures that Google requires publishers to include in their privacy policy. They are reproduced here word for word.

Third party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to your website or other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to your users based on their visit to your sites and/or other sites on the Internet.
Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Ads Settings. Alternatively, you can opt out of a third-party vendor's use of cookies for personalized advertising by visiting www.aboutads.info.

You can opt out of personalized advertising through either of the following.

This site uses no advertising network other than Google AdSense. If we add another advertising network, we will list it here together with that provider opt-out method. Note also that this site does not currently serve advertising; the disclosures above apply from the moment ad serving begins.

6. How to refuse cookies

A cookie is a small record stored in your browser. You may refuse to store cookies, or delete cookies already stored, from your browser settings.

  • Chrome — Settings › Privacy and security › Third-party cookies
  • Safari — Settings › Privacy › Cookies and website data
  • Edge — Settings › Cookies and site permissions › Manage cookies and site data

If you block cookies, some conveniences will stop working — your theme (light or dark) and language choice will not persist to your next visit, for example. Reading the content of the site is unaffected.

For advertising and analytics, the Operator does not load the relevant scripts before obtaining your consent. We keep that order rather than loading first and asking afterwards, and you may revisit your choice at any time. Your consent state is stored only in your browser and never on the Operator server.

7. Your rights and how to exercise them

You may at any time request access to, correction of, deletion of, or suspension of processing of your personal information. For a child under the age of 14, a legal representative may exercise these rights on the child behalf.

Please send your request through our contact channel or to contact@patchso.com. We will act on it and tell you the outcome within 10 days of receipt. If we need further material in order to verify the request, that period runs from the day we receive it.

We may decline a request where a statute requires the processing or imposes a retention obligation, or where Article 35(4), Article 36(1) or Article 37(2) of the Personal Information Protection Act otherwise applies. In that case we will tell you the reason.

8. Personal information of children under 14

This site covers games, so we can expect younger visitors. We therefore set out the actual position here rather than leaving this clause empty.

The Operator does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 14. Because there is no sign-up feature, there is no age verification step — which also means we have no way to prevent a child from sending an email address through the contact channel in the first place. We state that limitation rather than conceal it.

If you are a legal representative and wish a child information deleted, please write to contact@patchso.com. Once we confirm that the information belongs to a child, we delete it without delay and confirm that we have done so.

Once advertising begins, we will apply the settings offered by the advertising provider so that personalized advertising is not directed at children.

9. Destruction procedures and methods

Personal information is destroyed without delay once its retention period has passed or its purpose has been achieved.

Enquiry emails and their contents are deleted by the Operator personally. Once a quarter we review messages whose reply was completed more than a year earlier and destroy them. Information held in electronic files is permanently erased by a method that makes recovery impossible. This site never produces printed records containing personal information, so no document destruction procedure is required.

10. Measures to ensure security

These are the measures the Operator actually takes.

  • The most reliable measure is not to hold the data at all. This site does not store visitors' personal information in its own database; that database contains only site content such as the game update index.
  • All traffic between visitors and the site is encrypted with HTTPS.
  • The administration screens are access-controlled and access is logged.
  • Access to personal information is limited to the Operator alone. If further people ever handle it, this policy will be amended first.

11. Personal Information Protection Officer

The Operator designates the following Personal Information Protection Officer, who has overall responsibility for personal information processing and handles complaints and remedies from visitors.

Addendum

This Privacy Policy takes effect on 2026-08-20.

This is the first version of the policy. There are no previous versions.

Where content is added, removed or amended, we will post notice of the change and the reason for it on this page from seven days before it takes effect. Where the change materially affects your rights — for example a new processor, or a new category of information processed — we will give notice 30 days in advance.
