Terms of Service

Effective from Last revised

PatchSo is a free reference site that gathers and organises records of game updates. There is nothing to join, nothing to pay for and nowhere to post. These terms therefore do not govern the formation and termination of a contract; they set out what kind of information you will find here and how rights are handled.

Contents of this document

Article 1. General — scope and the nature of this site

These terms apply to the use of every page of PatchSo (the "Site"), operated by PatchSo 운영자 (the "Operator"), and take effect on 2026-08-20.

The Site has no membership, login, paid service or user posting features. You can read it without registering anything. These terms therefore contain no clauses on entering or terminating a service contract, on account suspension, on removal of user posts, or on refunds — because no such procedure exists here.

The Site is an unofficial reference with no affiliation to any game publisher or platform operator. Naming a game here does not imply that its publisher has approved or sponsored this site.

The Korean version of these terms is the authoritative text. This English version is provided for convenience. If the two versions differ in meaning, the Korean version prevails.

Article 2. The nature of the information, and disclaimers

We begin by stating what the Site shows, and what it does not.

  • The information here is gathered from publicly available sources and then organised and calculated by the Operator. It is not an official announcement by any game publisher.
  • Predicted next update dates are statistical estimates derived from past release intervals. They may differ from the actual date, and any unannounced change of schedule by the publisher will make the estimate wrong.
  • Ranking-related figures are based on top grossing chart positions, not on revenue. Revenue and download counts are not available in any public source, so this site does not deal with them.
  • Screens that place updates and ranking movements side by side present an observed correlation. They do not assert causation.
  • The Operator does not warrant the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the information, and is not liable for decisions you make on the basis of it or for their consequences.
  • We do, however, fix errors once we learn of them. Corrections and their contents are published in our correction history, and the contact channel is open for reporting an error.

Article 3. Copyright, and requests for removal or correction

(1) Works belonging to this site — the summaries, commentary, reference documents and glossary entries written by the Operator, the statistics the Operator calculates, and the visualisations drawn from that data are works of the Operator. Unauthorised reproduction and redistribution are prohibited, and that includes bulk collection by automated means.

(2) Rights belonging to others — game titles, service names, trade marks and logos belong to their respective right holders. This site names them for identification only; it does not imply approval, affiliation or sponsorship.

(3) We do not reproduce source text — this site does not excerpt and republish publisher announcements. We confirm what happened and when, extract the facts, and the Operator writes them up in their own words. Where you need the original wording, follow the official announcement link attached to each entry.

(4) We neither store nor display game artwork, header images, video or background music. Store-provided app icons and screenshots are shown on game detail pages only, by reference to their original location; the image files themselves are never copied onto this site.

(5) Procedure for right holders — if you believe your rights have been infringed, tell us through the contact page or at contact@patchso.com. We begin verification within 24 hours of receipt and, where infringement is confirmed, remove or amend the material and inform you of the outcome.

Including these three things with your request will speed up verification: the address of the page concerned, the right on which the request is based, and contact details for our reply.

Article 4. Linking policy

(1) Links leaving this site — each update entry carries a link to the publisher official announcement or to the store. Links open the original page as it is, in a new tab; we never wrap it in a frame or embed it inside this site. The Operator is not responsible for the content of linked external sites or for what follows from it.

(2) Links coming into this site — you may link to us freely and no prior permission is needed. Please observe three things: it must be apparent that the source is PatchSo; you must not wrap our content in a frame so that it appears to be yours; and you must not create the impression that this site endorses or is affiliated with you.

(3) When a link dies — we check external links periodically and stop showing those that no longer respond. If you find a dead link, please tell us through the contact page.

Article 5. Changes to and discontinuation of the service

Individual data axes or pages may change or disappear as a result of policy changes at our sources, technical reasons, or operational judgement.

When a page is removed we respond clearly that the address no longer exists and exclude it from the sitemap. Pages for games whose service has ended are not removed, however; they remain, marked as ended, because the record of a finished game is still material to someone looking for it.

Should the service be discontinued altogether, we will give notice on this page and on the home page at least 30 days beforehand. Because this is a free service for which no consideration is received, we do not compensate for loss arising from change or discontinuation, save for loss caused by the Operator intent or gross negligence.

Article 6. Prohibited conduct

The following are prohibited. We have listed only what can actually happen on this site.

  • Collecting the contents of this site in bulk by automated means, or making excessive repeated requests that burden the service
  • Reproducing and redistributing text written by the Operator, or figures calculated by the Operator, without attribution
  • Attempting to reach the administration screens or the database through a security vulnerability
  • Reporting false information through the contact channel, or repeatedly submitting the same material so as to obstruct handling

Where a breach is confirmed we may restrict access for the requests concerned. As there are no accounts on this site, no sanction other than access restriction is available.

Article 7. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and the use of the Site are governed by the law of the Republic of Korea.

Where a dispute arises between the Operator and a user, proceedings may be brought before the court having jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act. No court is designated as having exclusive jurisdiction.

Addendum

These terms take effect on 2026-08-20.

This is the first version of these terms. There are no previous versions.

Where the terms are amended, we will post the change and the reason for it on this page from seven days before it takes effect, or 30 days before where the change is unfavourable to users.
